“A teacher from film school had shown us a short animated movie and later asked how we could interpret it. No one in my class could come up with the answer. I stood up and gave an explanation of every part of it.
All of a sudden allegorical language of that movie was very clear to me.
Ever since then I used symbolism as a powerful tool for communicating to my audience through animation. The possibilities are endless: you can surprise people, you can make them think, connect the dots or see completely different side of things. It opens up the world of ties and connections and I find it very entertaining.
Even if the message I’m trying to send is about some serious subject”.
